  • STRATEGIC PLANNING - Developed strategic plans for different clients on a consultative basis, including leading strategic planning workshops and driving new corporate strategies & initiatives.

  • FORECASTING - Built out intuitive forecasting models, incorporating financial performance, liquidity planning, operational benchmarking (KPI’s), and most importantly provide operational feedback loops to help dynamically update these models. My projections allow management to foresee operational impacts thanks to the ability to process dynamic updates, giving “real time” decision ability.
  • FORECASTING - 75% of my consulting clients required the preparation of a forecast, for operational planning and lending purposes. These plans included divisional build outs, consolidated roll ups and detailed employee labor cost management. These forecasts have included upwards of 54 cost & revenue centers, 100+ employees, R&D development & IP management, large capital fleets, lending iterations and jurisdictions ranging Canda, USA & Europe.
  • SOFTWARE BASED FORECASTING - I have transitioned companies from excel to software-based budgeting platforms that integrated with ERP’s (for example, Budget Maestro & Microsoft Business Central).
  • FEASIBILITY - Development of project viability models with iteration management and “what if” scenarios.

  • COVENANTS - Reporting on lending compliance requirements, and implications of covenants. These compliance items are integrated in forecasting processes to anticipate potential structure or activity concerns. Actively managing exposure to lending re-call risk.

  • LARGE VOLUMES OF DATA - Managed large data “onboarding” projects where companies lacked active accounting systems and required reporting on short notice. This was done using Artificial Intelligence type tools that can process data with a high degree of accuracy.
  • ERP SYSTEM IMPLEMENTATIONS – successfully managed a conversion from a legacy system to Microsoft Business Central (ERP)
  • DASHBOARDS - Development of ERP based Dashboards and management reporting to provide management with access at their fingertips.
  • STRUCTURE - Closing month ends within 15 days of month end and 2 months of year end consistently.
  • BRASS TAX FOCUSED - Cost savings initiatives including insurance re-alignment IT acquisition costs (40% cost savings), setup of in-house recruiting functions (75% cost savings), in-house proposal writing and marketing processes as part of a utilization strategy.

  • RISK MANAGED - Insurance risk assessment, defining risk-based activities and re-structuring them for better risk underwriting, generally resulting in reduced insurance costs with manageable attributes.
  • TIMELY FEEDBACK - The most common challenges I’ve experienced in executing on a corporate strategic plan is the timely insight to operational & environmental changes that occur organically and un-anticipated risks due to lack of timely feedback. 
  • COMMUNICATION - I work to establish strong communication channels and to define risk activities, quantifying them and generally “under-writing” them through ongoing process evaluation & improvements, the development of more in-depth reporting & internal controls, or with an appropriate 3rd party.
